ASPED-ESPE Endocrine Academy Steering Committee Vacancies

Committee Vacancy Position: Member

Deadline: 30 September 2022

We invite our members to apply for two positions of Steering Committee (SC) Member of our ASPED-ESPE Endocrine Academy. The vacancies have arisen due to the end of terms of some members and the appointment will be for three years starting in November 2022.

The ASPED-ESPE Endocrine Academy is aimed at paediatricians practicing in Arab countries who have completed their basic paediatric training and currently either trained in, or intending to develop, a career in paediatric endocrinology and diabetes.

The selected applicants will act as the ESPE representative in the Academy SC; therefore, they must be practicing outside Arab countries. They are expected to attend and participate actively in the ASPED-ESPE Endocrine Academy. They will teach and be involved in mentoring the students. The SC also takes responsibility for the Academy’s programme.  The workload consists of emails and preparation work, attendance at the ASPED-ESPE Endocrine Academy, evaluation of submitted applications, and face to face SC meetings every year (during the Academy).

Applicants should have a wide knowledge of the published literature in paediatric endocrinology in general and detailed knowledge in more than one specific area. Preference will be given to those whose interests are complementary to those of the current members of the steering committee. The appointment will be made by the ESPE Council on recommendation from the existing steering committee.

If you are interested in applying for this post, please send an electronic copy of your CV and a covering letter to the ESPE Team at: espe@eurospe.org by 30 September 2022.

The appointments will be ratified by the ESPE Council on recommendation from the existing steering committee.

All applicants should read the ESPE Committee Guidelines before applying.
