Outstanding Clinician

Introduction

The Outstanding Clinician Award was established in 2001 and recognises outstanding clinical contribution to the practice of Clinical Paediatric Endocrinology.

The award is given on the basis of nominations received from ESPE members.

The prize is awarded through final selection by the Andrea Prader Committee.The deadline for nominations is 10 December each year.

Regulations

  • Self-nominations are not accepted.
  • Candidates must be nominated by 2 ESPE members in writing to the Secretary General.
  • A letter of endorsement, outlining the suitability of the candidate for the award, should accompany each nomination.
  • Candidates should submit their CV to the Secretary General.

The Outstanding Clinician Award is conferred during a presentation ceremony at the ESPE annual meeting with a brief response from the winner; the award does not include a lecture within the awards session.

Eligibility

The award is open to all ESPE members. There is no age limitation.

All applications must be submitted electronically to the ESPE Secretary General at espe-sg@ki.se.

Failure to submit applications electronically may result in delays to the process.

All applications will be acknowledged by email.

Evaluation

The decision will be made by the Andrea Prader Committee and is based on the candidates’ contribution to clinical paediatric endocrinology and involvement in ESPE activities.

The successful candidate will be notified by the Secretary General by the end of March. Candidates who have not received notification by this date should assume that they have not been successful.
