Awards & Fellowships

Travel Grants

Introduction

Travel grants are available for attendance of the annual congress if the applicant has submitted a high quality abstract.

Travel grants are awarded to delegates younger than 40 years; half of travel grants will be assigned to the best abstracts, half to the best abstracts coming from developing countries (all countries below the "high income" category of GNI per capita US$12,276 as defined in the World Bank website classifications). Delegates are not eligible to receive an ESPE travel grant if they have accepted any support from pharma companies toward travel and accommodation.

The application details for 2012 are as follows:

  • Travel grants are intended to support the participation of junior delegates such as fellows in training, post-docs and PhD students.
  • A number of Travel Grants of up to 500 € per grant will be available for the meeting.
  • Only the presenting author of an abstract is eligible to apply.
  • You can apply if you have been born during or after the year 1972.
  • Application can only be made on the abstract submission form on the ESPE meeting website upon submission of an abstract.
  • Deadline for application is the same as for abstract submission 7 March 2012.
  • You will be notified of acceptance/rejection in early June 2012.
  • You must indicate if you are an ESPE member or not (you do not need to be a member in order to apply for a Travel Grant).
  • A travel grant does NOT entitle the applicant to free registration.
