CPC statement on GH safety

The ESPE Clinical Practice Committee has considered current concerns around the safety of recombinant human growth hormone treatment and refers you to the EMA and FDA statements. In 2007 the Clinical Practice Committee had initiated a pan-European growth hormone effectiveness and safety monitoring research study (see http://saghe.aphp.fr/site/spip.php) which was funded by the European Union Health Research Programme and is now underway in eight countries. Final results are not likely to be available until 2012 at the earliest.
