Andrea Prader Committee Vacancy

Deadline: 22 February

Applications are now invited for a vacancy on the Andrea Prader Prize Committee. The three-year appointment will commence in March 2019, reviewing award nominations ahead of the decision-making meeting on 5 April 2019.

The vacancy has arisen due to current adult endocrinologist member, Philippe Bouchard, completing his term of office and while applications from adult endocrinologists are welcomed, all applications will be considered.

Every year ESPE is proud to present 6 important and prestigious awards, recognising winners' achievements at different stages of their careers, across the field of paediatric endocrinology. The Andrea Prader Committee has the honour of reviewing and assessing nominations and selecting winners for the following ESPE awards:

  • Andrea Prader prize
  • ESPE Outstanding Clinician Award
  • ESPE Research Award
  • ESPE Young Investigator Awards
  • ESPE International Award
  • ESPE International Outstanding Clinician Award

The committee meets in March/April each year by teleconference, to discuss and make decisions on the awards for that year, which are presented during the ESPE Annual Meeting in September. Nominations are sent to committee members in advance for review.

If you are interested in applying, please send your CV, together with a covering email outlining your suitability for the position, to the ESPE Team at: espe@eurospe.org. The appointments will be made by the ESPE Council based on committee recommendation. Geographical diversity of the committee will be taken into consideration. The closing date for applications is 31 Jan 2018.
