Diabetes, Obesity & Metabolism School Steering Committee member vacancy

Deadline: 30 June 2021

We are seeking applications from ESPE members for a new member of the ESPE Diabetes, Obesity & Metabolism School Steering Committee. The vacancy has arisen due to current committee member, Dr Shlomit Sahlitin, completing her extended second term of office. The three-year appointment will start in June 2021, planning for the 2022 DOM School.

The main task of the Diabetes, Obesity & Metabolism School Steering Committee is to develop the programme for the School and participate in the evaluation of applicants. The successful applicant will also attend and participate actively in the School, which usually takes place immediately after the Annual Meeting. They will teach and be involved in mentoring the students. This is a fantastic opportunity to meet and impart your knowledge to paediatricians from across the world, while gaining valuable experience of different professional practices, cultures and teaching styles.

Applicants should have a wide knowledge of published literature in paediatric diabetes, obesity and metabolism in general and detailed knowledge in more than one specific area.

The workload consists of email communication and preparation work, attendance at the Diabetes, Obesity & Metabolism School, evaluation of submitted applications, and face to face steering committee meetings every year (during the School).

The appointment will be made by the ESPE Council following recommendation by the Diabetes, Obesity & Metabolism School Steering Committee. Consideration will be given to the diversity of the Committee.

If you are interested in applying for this post, please send an electronic copy of your CV and a covering letter to the ESPE Team at: espe@eurospe.org by 30 June 2021.

All applicants should read the ESPE Committee Guidelines before applying.
