Summer School Steering Committee member vacancy

Deadline: 7 June 2021

We are seeking applications from the ESPE membership for the position of member of the ESPE Summer School Steering Committee. The vacancy has arisen due to current member, Ram Weiss, completing his second term of office in September. The three-year appointment will start in September 2021.

The main task of the Summer School Committee is to develop the programme for the Summer School and participate in the evaluation of applicants for the School. The successful applicant is expected to attend and participate actively in the Summer School. He/she will teach and be involved in mentoring the students. This is a fantastic opportunity to meet and impart your knowledge to paediatricians from across the world, while gaining valuable experience of different professional practices, cultures and teaching styles.

Applicants should have a wide knowledge of published literature in paediatric endocrinology in general and detailed knowledge in more than one specific area. Preference will be given to candidates whose interests are complementary to those of the current members of the steering committee.

The workload consists of email communication and preparation work, attendance at the Summer School, evaluation of submitted applications, and face to face steering committee meetings every year (during the Summer School).

The appointment will be made by the ESPE Council following recommendation by the Summer School Steering Committee.

If you are interested in applying for this post, please send an electronic copy of your CV and a covering letter to the ESPE Team at: espe@eurospe.org by 7 June 2021.

All applicants should read the ESPE Committee Guidelines before applying.
