The Joint EASD/ISPAD/ESPE Postgraduate Education Course on Type 1 Diabetes in Children Adolescents and Young Adults is open to all physicians, paediatricians, health care professionals and nurses working with type 1 diabetes patients.

Joint EASD/ISPAD/ESPE Postgraduate Education Course on Type 1 Diabetes in Children, Adolescents and Young Adults 2020

5-7 November 2020 in Ljubljana, Slovenia

This Postgraduate Education Course on Type 1 Diabetes in Children Adolescents and Young Adults will be organized jointly by EASD, ISPAD and ESPE. The course programme will cover essential topics within type 1 diabetes with participants having a unique opportunity to listen to and interact with experts and researchers in the field of diabetes from all over Europe in an informal setting. During lectures and workshops, faculty members will share their knowledge and clinical experiences and participants will gain new insights in the treatment of type 1 diabetes and its complications.

The course venue is Hotel Lev, participants from outside Ljubljana will be accommodated in the same hotel.

Scientifc Programme

The programme includes lectures and workshops, it starts on Thursday, 5 November 2020 at 12:30 and ends on Saturday, 24 November at 14:30. The preliminary programme is available here.

Registration

The online application system will open in May 2020 and will close on 31 July 2020. A limited number of places will be available for this course. Applicants are asked to upload a CV and, if applicable, to provide information regarding their membership (membership number) in either EASD, ISPAD or ESPE during the online application process.

Selection of participants for this course will be based on the information provided in the CV and preference will be given to those applicants being a valid (paid-up) member of either EASD, ISPAD or ESPE. Confirmations for participation will send out to accepted participants mid-August 2020. All applicants not being accepted to participate will receive a notification and they will be added to a waiting list.

  • Coffee breaks, lunches and dinners as indicated in the programme
  • Double room accommodation for 2 nights at Hotel Lev
  • Opportunity to apply for a limited number of travel grants to assist participants in covering the costs of their travel to Ljubljana

Joint EASD/ISPAD/ESPE Postgraduate Education Course 2018 

The first Joint EASD/ISPAD/ESPE Postgraduate Education Course on Type 1 Diabetes in Children, Adolescents and Young Adults took place from 22 to 24 November 2018 in Prague, Czech Republic, at Don Giovanni Hotel where speakers and participants form outside Prague were also accommodated for the course duration. The course programme with lectures and workshops was developed by Ragnar Hanas, Rasa Verkauskiene and Jan Lebl.
