Term: The three-year appointment will begin on 01 September 2026 (term for 3 years, renewable once).

Background: We are seeking applications from members for the position of Coordinator of the ESPE Caucasus and Central Asia (C&CA) School Steering Committee, as the current coordinator’s term is coming to an end.

Main Responsibilities: The main responsibility of the Committee coordinator is to develop the programme of the School and participate in the evaluation of applicants.

The coordinator will have overall responsibility for the output of the Steering Committee, including:

  • Participating in Education and Training committee meetings (online and in-person)
  • Liaising with the local organiser during the school preparation period, participants, faculty, the School Committee and Education and Training Committee (ETC)
  • Providing content for the ESPE website and Newsletter
  • Writing a report for and presenting at the ETC meeting
  • Leading the application review process

Qualifications:

  • Fluency in English and at least a basic level of understanding of Russian
  • Experience serving as faculty in ESPE schools
  • Clinical experience in paediatric endocrinology and diabetes
  • Experience working in an academic centre

Workload:

  • Development of the School programme
  • Participation in the evaluation of applicants
  • Chairing the annual face-to-face steering committee meeting during the School
  • Liaison with local organisers during the School preparation process, participants, faculty and committees
  • Preparation of content for ESPE website and Newsletter
  • Writing and presenting reports

Appointment: The appointment will be made by the ESPE Council following recommendation by the Education and Training Committee.

N.B. The applicant should not hold any ESPE grants during the period of their term of office.
