Background: We are seeking applications from the ESPE membership for one position on the ESPE Maghreb School Steering Committee. The vacancy has arisen due to the current member completing their terms of office.

Main Responsibilities: The primary task of the Maghreb School Committee is to develop the programme for the Maghreb School and participate in the evaluation of applicants. Successful applicants are expected to attend and actively participate in the Maghreb School, teach, and mentor the students. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to share your knowledge with paediatricians from across the world while gaining valuable experience in different professional practices, cultures, and teaching styles.

Qualifications:

• Wide knowledge of published literature in paediatric endocrinology in general.
• Detailed knowledge in more than one specific area of paediatric endocrinology.
• Fluency in French, as the Maghreb School is taught in French.
• Preference will be given to candidates whose interests complement those of the current members of the steering committee.

Workload:

• Email communication and preparation work.
• Attendance at the Maghreb School.
• Evaluation of submitted applications.
• Face-to-face steering committee meetings every year during the Maghreb School.

Appointment: The appointment will be made by the ESPE Council following a recommendation by the Maghreb School Steering Committee.
