ESPE e-learning offers core and advanced level learning modules on normal development, pathophysiological mechanisms and current views on diagnostic and therapeutic interventions.
The main category Courses in Paediatric Endocrinology and Diabetes is offered in English. The category Healthcare in Recourse Limited Setting has been developed for those in the first, secondary and tertiary levels of health care in developing countries, also in Chinese, French, Spanish and Swahili.
Furthermore, ESPE Maghreb School category is offered in English and French and ESPE Caucasus & Central Asia School is offered in English and Russian. Video masterclasses on Growth & Puberty are offered in English, French and Russian and video masterclasses on Diabetes Mellitus in Children are offered in English and Russian.
Continuing medical education (CME)
Since August 2022, 30 credit hours of ESPE/ISPAD Continuing Medical Education (CME) e-learning courses, all created by world-leading experts in Paediatric Endocrinology and Diabetes, received accreditation from the European Accreditation Council for CME (EACCME®). These CME courses are typically based on consensus guidelines and are organised in three categories: one category with ten courses CME Paediatric Endocrinology, one category with ten courses CME Diabetes ISPAD Guidelines, and one category with ten CME courses targeting health care officers in limited resource setting. The latter one is available in five different languages (English, French, Spanish, Swahili and Chinese).
For tutors and trainers
The ESPE e-learning website has been utilized in different settings and application, including education of paediatric endocrinology fellows, education of healthcare providers in resource-limited settings and in a series of e-learning and e-consultation webinars in collaboration with sister societies in different parts of the world.
