The ‘57th Meeting of Paediatric Endocrinology 2018’ is accredited by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME) to provide the following CME activity for medical specialists. The EACCME® is an institution of the European union of Medical Specialists (uEMS), www.uems.net. The scientific programme of the 57th Meeting of Paediatric Endocrinology 2018 (ESPE 2018) Athens, Greece, 27–29 September 2018 has been granted 20 European CME credits (ECMEC) by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME).
Each medical specialist should claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spent in the educational activity. Through an agreement between the European union of Medical Specialists and the American Medical Association, physicians may convert EACCME® credits to an equivalent number of AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Information on the process to convert EACCME® credits to AMA credits can be found at www.ama-assn.org/education/uemseaccme-cme-credit-recognition.
Live educational activities occurring outside of Canada, recognised by the UEMS- EACCME® for ECMEC® credits are deemed to be Accredited Group Learning Activities (Section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification Program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
The CME accreditation is valid for the main meeting programme only and does not cover the industry sponsored symposia.

Participants are fully liable for damages caused to third parties and property. All delegates shall have a valid, fully comprehensive third party liability insurance.
In compliance with the Continuing Medical Education (CME) guidelines of the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME) and the main European accrediting bodies, it is essential to ensure balance, independence, objectivity and scientific rigor in educational activities. All faculty members participating are required to disclose to the activity audience, any significant financial interest or other relationship with the Manufacturer(s) of any commercial product(s) and/or provider(s) of commercial services discussed in an educational presentation and with any commercial supporters of the activity.
Significant financial interest or other relationship may include: grants, research support, status as an employee, consultant, major stockholder, member of a speakers’ bureau, etc.
The intent of this disclosure statement is not to prevent speakers, with significant financial or other relationships, from making a presentation, but rather to provide the audience with the information necessary to determine whether a speaker’s interest or relationships influence the presentation with regard to exposition or conclusion.
Finally, all faculty are required to identify to the audience any use of a product or service that is either investigational or without FDA/EMEA-approved product labelling. Please note that at the 57th Annual ESPE 2018 Meeting in Athens, the presenter will show a slide with disclosure information in the beginning of his/her lecture.
