This month, I would like to start by thanking all delegates and sponsors who attended the ESPE 2024 Annual Meeting in Liverpool. It was a great success and saw a high number of attendees. I would also like to congratulate our Meeting Hosts Mehul Dattani and Poonam Dharmaraj and chair of the Program Organising Committee, Peter Kühnen, on a highly successful Meeting!

As one Meeting finishes, we now look forward to May when the Joint ESPE-ESE Meeting will be held in Copenhagen, Denmark. Abstracts for the Joint Meeting are open and we welcome submissions until 3 February. Also, registration for the Joint Meeting opens on 1 December so do remember to register your place.
Applications are open for a host of ESPE awards; the Andrea Prader Award, Research Award, Outstanding Clinician Award, International Research Award, International Outstanding Clinician Award, and Young Investigator Awards. The deadline for all of these awards is coming up on 10 December.
Applications are also open for the Caucasus & Central Asia School 2025. The School will be held in Tbilisi, Georgia between 9-12 April. The deadline for applications is 30 November 2024.
We are also currently accepting applications for our Summer School 2025. The School will be held on 6-9 May in Helsingør, Denmark. Applications are open until 20 January, 2025.

We have two grant deadlines coming up before the end of the year, including the ESPE Research Unit, which aims to foster, facilitate, coordinate, and identify topics for high quality research in paediatric endocrinology. The deadline for applications is 15 December.
We will also close applications for the Visiting Professorship of Rare Diseases Grant on 30 December so make sure to apply soon to be in with the chance of receiving a grant of €15,000.
We currently have four open vacancies; Chair of Education and Training Committee – applications close on 30 December, Summer School Convenor (Chair of the Board) – applications close on 15 December, and two Summer School Steering Committee Members – applications close on 20 January.
In 2025, IFCAH (International Fund raising for Congenital Adrenal Hyperplasia), ESPE and ESE will launch its call for proposals. Academic groups working directly or indirectly on CAH are invited to submit a project if the results of their studies could help to increase knowledge on physiopathology of the disease or allow a better therapeutic approach. The deadline for sending letters of intent is 20 January, you can find full details on the website.
We are delighted to bring you four more interesting events in our ESPE Connect webinar series for 2025. The first event will be held on 29 January and our expert panel will discuss monogenic, neonatal and rare diabetes. Please save the date and keep an eye on the website and social channels for registration details.
The Early Career Scientific Development Grant offers a maximum of €2,500 to paediatric endocrinologists and basic scientists for the purpose of gathering information and experience on a specific research issue, or laboratory technique. The deadline for applications is 31 January.
We have also recently opened applications for the Undergraduate Achievement Award, which recognises high achievement in the field of paediatric endocrinology. Recipients will be awarded free registration to the Joint ESPE-ESE Annual Meeting in May and a grant of €750. Applications will close on 3 February.
