Under the guidance of its EU Committee, ESPE is actively campaigning at the EU/European level to ban all endocrine disruptors from our environment. One of the key priorities of the Committee is to address the continuous high volumes of Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) which due to their persistent nature are particularly harmful for children’s health.

Following the PFAS restriction proposal by the national authorities of Denmark, Germany, the Netherlands, Norway and Sweden, there is a real opportunity now to make big strides forward in this area and come closer to a complete ban of all PFAS in the EU and beyond.

The following statement has been produced that has been disseminated via ESPE social media channels and will be shared directly with EU policy makers.

If you are an active social media user and/or you are in touch with policy makers in the area of health and environment at the local, national or European level, do not hesitate to help us further disseminate this statement and hence amplify its impact.
