The 61st Annual Meeting of the European Society for Pediatric Endocrinology (ESPE 2023) was dedicated to education, research, knowledge and clinical practice of pediatric endocrinology and metabolism including children’s and adolescent’s disorders of the hormone producing glands of the body and puberty, growth and sexual development problems. These include thyroid, diabetes, early and late puberty, adrenal gland problems and growth hormone deficiency.
The 61st Annual ESPE Meeting theme was set to examine some global challenges. These include climate change, which calls for more sustainable medical care, as well as the ever-rising prevalence of obesity, with low and middle income countries quickly catching up with high income nations. Our exhilarating programme has, as usual, included plenary lectures and symposia featuring outstanding international speakers.
Meet the Expert and How Do I…? sessions by world-leading clinicians, the Controversy and Novel Advances sessions designed to make us re-evaluate the way we think and work, Free Communications and Posters raising the profile of work by experienced colleagues and younger trainees alike.
ESPE 2023 has brought together paediatric endocrinologists from around the world given a warm welcome by Paul van Trotsenburg (Meeting Host) and Sabine Hannema (vice-Meeting Host) on behalf of the Local Organising Committee of ESPE 2023.
Approximately 4,000 professionals who treat the whole spectrum of paediatric endocrine conditions have attended the 61st Annual ESPE Meeting in The Hague, Netherlands. An online element has been incorporated to the meeting for delegates who are unable to join in person.
ESPE 2023 would like to thank our sponsors for their continued support and involvement.
