We are looking forward to the 61st ESPE Annual Meeting in The Hague, The Netherlands this September. I encourage you all to submit your abstracts before the deadline of Monday 24 April. Registration for the Annual Meeting will open soon, but in the meantime, please register your interest.
The Summer School and Diabetes, Obesity and Metabolism (DOM) School are open for applications – ensure you apply before the deadline of Monday 15 May. Our ESPE Schools provide a wonderful learning environment for young paediatricians and basic scientists who want to develop their interest and learning in the field of paediatric endocrinology. Participants at our Schools enjoy interactive lectures, case discussions in small groups and case presentations. This year the Schools take place in the wonderful city of Rockanje on the Dutch coast, close to The Hague.
The ESPE Research Fellowship enables talented early-career scientists, investigators, and paediatric endocrinologists to conduct research at leading institutions worldwide. Applications for the Fellowship close on 30 April, you can find full details and hear from past recipients on the ESPE website.
Final applications for the ESPE Research Unit grants are also open until Thursday 20 April. This collaborative research grant aims to foster, facilitate, coordinate, and identify topics for high quality and collaborative research in paediatric endocrinology, for both physicians and scientists.
The next webinar in our popular ESPE Connect series is coming up on Wednesday 19 April and this event will have a focus on monogenic obesity. Registration is free for ESPE members. Register your place to hear a host of expert panellists discussing genetic causes of obesity, patient and family perspectives, and newer treatment options.
